America's Communist President




Yet more evidence that something is definitely wrong with the US president.

In his extraordinary book, “Dupes: How America’s Adversaries Have Manipulated Progressives for a Century”, the historian, Dr. Paul Kengor, stated in his introduction that “We now know that American Communists and their masters in Moscow were acutely aware that they could never gain the popular support they needed to enlist the support of a much wider coalition that could help them push their private agenda.”

Most threatening, however, was Dr. Kengor’s discovery that “it was nothing short of stunning to research this book during the presidential bid of Barack Obama and hear so many of the names in my research surface repeatedly in the background of the man who became president of the United States of America. The way in which so many names and themes from the Cold War past aligned and made their way into Obama’s orbit was chilling.”

Obama’s December 8th speech in Osawatomie, Kansas revealed to anyone paying any attention that the President is a Communist. Speaking of the nation’s economic system that has created the greatest wealth for the most people anywhere, Capitalism, Obama said, “It doesn’t work. It has never worked.”

No one would argue that capitalism is “fair”, nor would they argue that life is “fair.” These are things that never were and never will be, but Obama’s reelection campaign theme will be that Americans are suffering because of Capitalism, because of a lack of fairness.

In a December 8 Washington Times commentary, Jeffrey T. Kuhner wrote, “There is only one problem with the White House’s narrative: It’s completely false. Mr. Obama is not a defender of the middle class but has been its mortal enemy. His policies have impoverished working-and-middle-class Americans.”

Other than the utterly brain-dead liberals for whom facts are meaningless, most Americans understand, as Kuhner pointed out, “His massive stimulus failed to restore economic recovery…his trillion-dollar deficits and skyrocketing debt have mortgaged the future of our children…Obamacare suffocates businesses, stifles job creation, and adds another unsustainable entitlement. It is creeping socialized medicine, which is wrecking the world’s finest health care system.”

Rush Limbaugh denounced the speech as “alien to American ideals and principles…your vision for this country is not rooted in any—not one—American tradition.”

Obama’s history, what is known of it given his extensive efforts to hide the facts that are usually available about a candidate or president, is testimony to the fact that he is a Communist and the only reason this remains clouded to many Americans has been the shameful failure of the Fourth Estate, the liberal mainstream media, to expose it.

He remains in office due to the failure of both the media and the Republican Party to cite the U.S. Constitution’s prohibition against anyone holding the office who is not a “natural-born” American. Obama’s father was a Kenyan, a subject of Great Britain. He should not have been on the Democratic Party ballot and he should not be in the Oval Office as this is written.

Many of the known facts about Obama were published in Dr. Jerome Corsi’s 2008 book, “The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality.” Thirty-five pages of footnotes citing the documentation of the facts cited were there for anyone to read. Obama was born into a family of Leftists. As a youngster he was mentored by Frank Marshal Davis, a member of the Communist Party USA.

Of his early college years, Obama said in his memoir that at Occidental, “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets.”

Obama’s political career began with a fund-raiser in the living room of two dedicated, self-identified Communists, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. As Dr. Corsi pointed out, “The problem is that Obama sought out his relationships with the Alinski organization, the Ayers-Dohrn radicals, the scandal-ridden (Antoin ‘Tony’) Rezko, Reverand (Jeremiah) Wright and black-liberation theology, and Farrakhan and the Black Muslims. At the time he wanted these ties.” In the course of his 2008 campaign he rejected all efforts to tie him to these individuals.

The appointment of the many “czars” to oversee and guide the actions of government departments and agencies became the subject, first of ridicule, followed by the realization he was infiltrating the government with known radicals of different stripes. The one that quickly gained attention was Van Jones, an avowed Communist. When that became known, Jones resigned.

The Osawatomie speech was classic Obama. In the past he has sought to align himself with former presidents and this time around it was Theodore Roosevelt, a progressive. As Americans have sought to peel away the many layers of deceit surrounding Obama, the single abiding factor in his life is Communism. The views he expressed were a combination of class warfare and an attack on Capitalism.

In 2008 Americans, reeling from the financial crisis that all too conveniently began in the final months of the Bush43 presidency, were duped into believing that a man with nothing more than a message of “hope and change” was a messiah that would lead the nation out of its problems.


Obama was and is the first Communist President of the United States of America. We have a President who rails against “millionaires and billionaires”, corporations, Wall Street, and all other aspects of our Capitalist economy.

We have a President and a Democratic Party that have tipped their hat to the Occupy Wall Street radicals.

We have a President and a Democratic Party totally aligned with the unions in America, some of which put the auto industry in jeopardy, others in the public sector that have plundered state treasuries with sweetheart deals for pensions and health plans, and who we have seen thuggishly oppose the restructuring of collective bargaining. It is why a close ally of Obama, Andy Stern, the former president of the Service Employees International Union (SIEU), praised the Chinese Communist economic model in a December 1 Wall Street Journal article.

And we now have a President who says Capitalism “doesn’t work” and “It has never worked.” That is utterly absurd, but it reveals his ideology and his goal of fomenting a Communist revolution in America by bankrupting the nation to achieve it.

Obama is a horrid aberration, the result of a combination of the Democratic Party, the liberal media, and the education community to dumb down Americans and make them ready for the Communist America that Obama advocates.

Communism did not die with the collapse of the Soviet Union. It is alive and well in Russia, China, Cuba, Vietnam and in Venezuela. The soft form, Socialism, has brought a number of European nations to ruin and threatens the U.S.

In 2010 Americans returned power in the House of Representatives to the Republican Party. We must finish the job in the Senate and in the White House in 2012. If we do not, the America we love will perish.

The Durban Bible: you pay so they may pray




Looks like this “religion” isn’t going away any time soon,unfortunately. People are already talking about another global financial collapse. How is this going to work out? It can’t be good.

This is freaky - and it sure isn’t science. The planet savers at the IPCC summit in Durban - attended by Climate Change Minister Greg Combet - are working on a document that reads in part like the Bible of a new green faith:


Rights of mother earth
74. Ensure respect for the intrinsic laws of nature.
75. The recognition and defence of the rights of Mother Earth to ensure harmony
between humanity and nature, and that their will be no commodification of the functions of
nature, therefore no carbon market will be developed with that purpose.

Who is “Mother Earth”? What are the “intrinsic laws of nature” and who passed them? Why do they need “respect”? What is the “harmony” between “humanity and nature”? Discuss using, say, smallpox as an example. Define “commodification of the functions of nature”. Explain using the example of dams and farms.

And tell us who wrote this garbage and how they go through the door.

The contents of this document, turgidly drafted with all the UN’s skill at what the former head of its documentation center used to call “transparent impenetrability”, are not just off the wall – they are lunatic.

Main points:

Ø A new International Climate Court will have the power to compel Western nations to pay ever-larger sums to third-world countries in the name of making reparation for supposed “climate debt”. The Court will have no power over third-world countries. Here and throughout the draft, the West is the sole target. “The process” is now irredeemably anti-Western.

Ø “Rights of Mother Earth”: The draft, which seems to have been written by feeble-minded green activists and environmental extremists…

Ø “Right to survive”: The draft childishly asserts that “The rights of some Parties to survive are threatened by the adverse impacts of climate change, including sea level rise.” At 2 inches per century, according to eight years’ data from the Envisat satellite? Oh, come off it! The Jason 2 satellite, the new kid on the block, shows that sea-level has actually dropped over the past three years.

Ø War and the maintenance of defence forces and equipment are to cease – just like that – because they contribute to climate change…

Ø A new global temperature target will aim, Canute-like, to limit “global warming” to as little as 1 C° above pre-industrial levels. Since temperature is already 3 C° above those levels, what is in effect being proposed is a 2 C° cut in today’s temperatures. This would take us halfway back towards the last Ice Age, and would kill hundreds of millions. Colder is far more dangerous than warmer.

Ø The new CO2 emissions target, for Western countries only, will be a reduction of up to 50% in emissions over the next eight years and of “more than 100%” [these words actually appear in the text] by 2050. So, no motor cars, no coal-fired or gas-fired power stations, no aircraft, no trains. Back to the Stone Age, but without even the right to light a carbon-emitting fire in your caves. Windmills, solar panels and other “renewables” are the only alternatives suggested in the draft. There is no mention of the immediate and rapid expansion of nuclear power worldwide to prevent near-total economic destruction.

Ø The new CO2 concentration target could be as low as 300 ppmv CO2 equivalent (i.e., including all other greenhouse gases as well as CO2 itself). That is a cut of almost half compared with the 560 ppmv CO2 equivalent today. It implies just 210 ppmv of CO2 itself, with 90 ppmv CO2 equivalent from other greenhouse gases. But at 210 ppmv, plants and trees begin to die. CO2 is plant food. They need a lot more of it than 210 ppmv…

Ø The West will pay for everything, because of its “historical responsibility” for causing “global warming”. Third-world countries will not be obliged to pay anything. But it is the UN, not the third-world countries, that will get the money from the West, taking nearly all of it for itself as usual. There is no provision anywhere in the draft for the UN to publish accounts of how it has spent the $100 billion a year the draft demands that the West should stump up from now on.

This - seriously - is the manifesto being worked on by your government and dozens of ones similarly maddened by global warming fervor and green mysticism. The next time someone tells you global warming alarmism is just about “the science”, wave this manifesto in their face.

From Bill Muelenberg’s Culture Watch – A comprehensive guide to what we are up against.

There are many areas of concern when it comes to standing up for a free and democratic West. One of the biggest threats is posed by the ongoing activities of creeping sharia and stealth jihad. Whether by demographics, outright terrorism, or indirect jihad, the West is under assault and it needs to be aware of the threat.

A number of important works continue to come forth from the presses, and these are some of the newer and better volumes worth recommending. They cover a number of related issues, offering theological, political, historical, legal, social, cultural and geo-political considerations.

All have been penned in the last few years, and all are well worth getting to understand the situation the West now finds itself in. Some are written by Christians, and some by secular authors. Some deal with political and ideological concerns while others look at religious and theological issues.

I offer these twenty books in no particular order, but do suggest that you try to get at least a few of these important works in order to better understand the new Cold War we are in.

Durie, Mark, The Third Choice. Deror Books, 2010.
Mark Durie is one of Australia’s leading experts on Islam. He has written much on Islam in general and dhimmitude in particular. The condition of Christians in Muslim nations is getting worse, and believers will fare no better as Islam gets further entrenched in the West. Here is a first-rate look at the issue from historical, theological and pastoral perspectives. We ignore the warnings here at our own peril.

Ye’or, Bat, Europe, Globalization, and the Coming of the Universal Caliphate. Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, 2011.
Egyptian-born Ye’or is perhaps the world’s leading authority on dhimmitude. This book is a continuation of her very important 2005 volume, Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis. Here she shows how the Islamic advance in Europe has only intensified since six years ago. She carefully demonstrates how Islam is wielding tremendous power through the EU, the UN and other bodies. This is a wake-up call for Europe and the West.

Goldman, David, How Civilizations Die: (And Why Islam Is Dying Too). Regnery, 2011.
In this very important volume a number of themes are discussed, all tied in with demographics. Religion and fertility are intertwined, and when people lose faith, they stop having children. That is how civilisations commit suicide. But when Muslim women become educated and literate, they too tend to abandon their faith and stop having kids, so even the Muslim world is now in upheaval in this regard. This book is must reading.

Geller, Pamela, Stop the Islamization of America. WND Books, 2011.
As the subtitle says, this is “A practical guide to the resistance.” And resistance is certainly needed. America is being Islamised big time, with stealth jihad occurring with increased intensity. Geller documents the many ways in which this is taking place, and offers some much-needed strategies to turn it around.

Reilly, Robert, The Closing of the Muslim Mind. ISI Books, 2010.
Why is scientific inquiry almost non-existent in the Muslim world? Why does open debate and genuine intellectual inquiry seem to be so hard to come by in the Islamic world? Why is genuine peace so illusive in the Middle East and the Muslim world? Why does Islam seem to be trapped in a seventh century mindset? These and other issues are nicely dealt with in this important volume.

Muthuswamy, Moorthy, Defeating Political Islam. Prometheus Books, 2009.
Muthuswamy argues that we in the West are in a new Cold War. There is an international Islamic political agenda being financed and promoted by Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with a war of ideas just as important as any armed conflict. The West needs to fully engage in this ideological battle, and urgently take steps to reverse the main gains of the Islamists.

Babbin, Jed, In the Words of Our Enemies. Regnery, 2007.
Just what do the Islamists and the jihadists actually want? What are their goals, their aims, their strategies and their plans? Actually, it is not hard to discover the answers to these questions, because they have in fact told us all this and more. Here Babbin simply compiles what the enemies of the West have been saying, what they hope to achieve, and how they seek to go about it. Sobering reading.

Bennett William and Seth Leibsohn, The Fight of Our Lives: Knowing the Enemy, Speaking the Truth, and Choosing to Win the War Against Radical Islam. Thomas Nelson, 2011.
In this well documented volume the authors lay out for us the dangers we face with Islamic terrorism, and show us how we might better deal with it. They examine a number of issues, and make it clear that we must be sure of who our enemy is and what it is they want. A brief but helpful look at the struggle we all face.

Shoebat, Walid, Why We Want to Kill You: The Jihadist Mindset and How to Defeat It. Top Executive Media, 2007.
As a former Islamic terrorist, Shoebat knows a thing or two about the forces at war against the West. Here he describes in detail the terrorist mind, the plan and goals of the Islamists, and how “moderate” Muslims are paving the way for stealth jihad. Must reading from an authority on the topic.

Gabriel, Brigitte, They Must Be Stopped. St. Martin’s Press, 2008.
The author of the very important 2006 volume Because They Hate, here continues her clarion call for the West to wake up and face this threat head on. The former Arabic news program anchor knows full well the struggle we face, and here offers numerous helpful proposals on how we can keep the West free and prevent stealth jihad from succeeding.

Sultan, Wafa, A God Who Hates: The Courageous Woman Who Inflamed the Muslim World Speaks Out Against the Evils of Islam. St. Martin’s Press, 2009.
The author spent 30 years in Syria and knows firsthand the oppressive and misogynist world of Islam. She now resides in the US and regularly debates Muslims, informing us about the deplorable condition of women in Islam, and how women in the West are also in danger. A revealing and eye-opening volume.

Weigel, George, Faith, Reason and the War Against Jihadism. Doubleday, 2007.
Weigel is always well worth reading, and in this insightful volume we find a helpful essay on the struggle the West is engaged in, and how we must face it. Historical, political and religious considerations are examined as he discusses how we can confront this challenge. Philosophical reflections are combined with public policy proposals in this wide-ranging work.

McCarthy, Andrew, The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotage America. Encounter Books, 2010.
Leftists have long ago declared war on America, as have the Islamists. In fact, we often find them working together arm in arm to achieve their aims. In this very thorough and well-documented volume McCarthy looks at how these two movements have combined to wage war on the US and subvert its constitutional democracy. A real wake-up call to the imminent dangers the US and the West face.

Spencer, Robert, The Complete Infidel’s Guide to the Koran. Regnery, 2009.
The Koran is a closed book to most people – even to most Muslims. Here the American expert on Islam provides an in-depth view of what the Koran teaches and how we are to understand it. It offers detailed chapters on all the crucial issues, such as Islam and violence, Islam’s treatment of women, Islam and Christianity, and the Koran’s treatment of Jews. A helpful and revealing volume.

Warner, Bill, Sharia Law for Non-Muslims. Center for the Study of Political Islam, 2010.
In this thin volume (just 48 pages) Bill Warner outlines what sharia is and how it relates to how women are treated, how jihad is waged, and how infidels are dealt with. Also examined are sharia finance, Islamic family law, and so on. He demonstrates how creeping sharia is making huge inroads in America and the West and the very real threat this poses.

Boykin, William et al, Shariah: The Threat to America. The Center for Security Policy, 2010.
This is a lengthy, detailed and careful study of what sharia is and how it operates. This study is the result of an indepth analysis by a team of security policy experts, and makes it clear what very real dangers America is confronted with. A very comprehensive and meticulous work which makes it clear that we are not just up against “extremists” but a political and unyielding religion.

Bawer, Bruce, Surrender. Doubleday, 2009.
Surrender is exactly what the West is doing in the face of radical Islam, especially Europe and the UK. In this well-argued and well-researched volume Bawer shows how we are undermining our own efforts as we attempt to appease the Islamists. We are surrendering our freedoms, our values and our beliefs as we cave in to the demands of those pushing for a global caliphate and universal sharia law. An important wake-up call.

Janson, Vickie, Ideological Jihad. Castle Publishing, 2009.
This Melbourne writer has long been involved in reaching Muslims. Here she examines how Islam is pushing its agenda ideologically, and in particular, she examines the writings and influence of Muslim apologist, Waleed Aly. She shows how in spite of the smooth-sounding propaganda, Islam and Christianity are on two different roads, and can never meet. She dissects the various myths being perpetrated by Muslim apologists, and makes the case for the uniqueness of Christ. A helpful response to the misinformation and half-truths being peddled in our mainstream media by Muslim activists.

Solomon, Sam and E al Maqdisi, Modern Day Trojan Horse: The Islamic Doctrine of Immigration. ANM, 2009.
Armed jihad is not the only way the Islamists can defeat a nation. There are numerous other ways in which stealth jihad occurs. How an Islamic minority can consolidate power in a Western nation and eventually take it over is the focus of this work. Plenty of Arabic sources are utilised as the authors solidly make their case for this very real type of jihad.

Phares, Walid, The War of Ideas. Palgrave Macmillan, 2007.
The war between democracy and Islamism is the supreme battle of our time. This volume offers a learned, incisive and careful look at this conflict, and how the two sets of ideas can never be reconciled. A very valuable discussion of the ideological crisis of our age, and how the West can defeat this dangerous foe.

Iron Curtain Begins Descending onto the United States of America


I have said before that I wouldn't be surprised if the USA and Australia never have any more elections.

I base this on the fact that neither of these governments seem to care about their poll numbers, nor about what their constituents think.

They are far too busy pushing their own agendas.

I hope I live to see the day when they will be held to account in an appropriate manner!

As Barack Hussein Obama’s real (internal) poll numbers continue to plummet into oblivion, Obama and his increasingly complicit Congress secretly pass laws that will enslave, incarcerate and even murder their fellow Americans–for the explicit purpose of those who are currently in power remaining in power. It is now becoming clearer and clearer that both the Marxist-Democrats and their RINO brothers and sisters may not allow the 2012 elections to occur.

The latest anti-liberty and unconstitutional atrocities include but, are not limited to, some of the following items:

1. DHS still lists Christians, anti-abortionists, homeschoolers, libertarians, conservatives, and military rank and file as terrorists.

Note: Islamists are still not included on the list

2. Christian preachers are now being arrested, and often beaten up, by police. A few preachers who have been arrested include two Houston pastors who were arrested for (legally) preaching against homosexuality on the same corner for the past two years. One of the police officers told them that they were ‘doing nothing wrong’. That was just before the cops grabbed their video camera, forced them to the ground, placed them in handcuffs and took them to the station.

The charges against them are unclear but, appear to include preaching a message the Houston cops didn‘t like. However, WND reports: “Their hearing will be in Houston Municipal Court, which is run by [lesbian] Barbara E. Hartle, who, according to the Dallas Voice, is listed by the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund as “one of only a few out members of the Texas judiciary.”

WND also reports that Pastor Michael Marcavage, founder of the evangelistic Repent America ministry, was placed on the FBI’s terrorist watch list for “nonviolent religious speech which government officials perceive as [merely] controversial.” Controversial? Being controversial is now a crime? In another incident, Pastor Rives Grogan and his 11 year old son were illegally arrested for preaching against abortion in a public (and allowed) free-speech zone.

3. The most recent and titanic infringement on the rights of all US citizens is a bill (National Defense Authorization Act-NDAA). Although Section 1032 subsection (b) (1) and (2) of S 1867 (passed in secret and behind closed doors) states that US Citizens and legal resident aliens are not subject to military incarceration, US Senators (including now self-outed Marxist Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham) are gleefully interpreting Section 1031 to include all US citizens being subject to “Detention under the law of war without trial until the end of the hostilities authorized by the Authorization for Use of Military Force.”

In other words, we may now experience what those recently nationwide refurbished FEMA camps look like.

This is no longer conspiracy theory, folks.

Senators Carl Levin (D-MI), John McCain (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) amongst many others have now not only threatened all of us with arrest but, are threatening the very foundations of what used to be our country. The masks have come off of our elected officials and most of them now resemble either Josef Stalin or Adolph Hitler.

Every totalitarian government starts out in almost the identical way.

First, it begins with some sort of political correctness indoctrination, then it begins taking away liberties a little at a time, then it explains that it can make decisions (including your money) for you better than you can. It decides that it can not only indoctrinate you children better but, can raise them better that you. Vladimir Ilyich Lenin said: “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”

The next to final step of all of these brutal and repressive governments is to make scapegoats of law-abiding citizens and raise up the lawbreakers as “acceptable.”

Note: The TEA Party vs. #OWS comparison comes readily to mind.

The final step is the incarceration and, ultimate, genocide of those who oppose their own enslavement.

We now stand in the beginning of the final phase-solution of the existence of the United States of America.

The Executive and Legislative branches of our government are now consistently operating outside of US law and have firmly become the enemy of We-the-People.

You may not want to hear this.

The truth often cuts deeply.

The government has moved beyond rogue and has now entered the complete and final Dictatorial Tyranny stage. Will you stand and fight or will you lie down and die? The choice is still yours…but, not for much longer.

The Iron Curtain has now almost fully descended onto the borders of the United States of America.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Australia: New clamp on Muslim haters



Oddly enough there is nothing similar going on here to counter the BDS demonstrations at the Max Brenner Chocolate stores, nor is much being done about the attacks on Hindu cab drivers!

It is always the same group of people who get special treatment, and the more special treatment they get the more people are going to get irritated!

Talk about the Law of Unintended Consequences!

MUSLIMS are being urged to report hate crimes under a special disaster plan to deal with the fallout from terrorist attacks.

Under the Muslim Emergency Management Plan, backed by the state and federal governments, Victorians will be given advice on how to react to anti-Muslim incidents, even if they are considered minor.

Muslim victims of abuse are encouraged to save evidence, take photos and report any incident to police and their local mosque or Islamic organisation.

And in another initiative, Victoria Police is introducing new strategy to deal with violence and threats motivated by prejudice.

It comes amid growing concern over inter-racial tensions in Melbourne's suburbs and against the backdrop of fears of further terrorist attacks that could strain relations further.

Police are being asked to develop databases on crime motivated by race or religion, so that offenders can be prosecuted.

The "prejudice-motivated crime strategy" focuses on crimes linked to race, religion, sex, age, disability or homelessness.

Muslims told the Herald Sun they faced increasing abuse on the streets because of their religion.

"A lot of women get yelled at and told 'Go home', or 'There's no place for you here', especially women wearing the burqa," a Muslim source said.

"It happens in shopping centres, at the park or just when you are walking along in the street."

Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria director Ross Barnett said the new police initiative was needed.

He said judges had the power to take into account hate-related issues in sentencing, but police were not equipped to provide the evidence.

"The elements of the strategy include training for officers, capacity to start collecting data so they've got a sense of what is happening, how often it happens, and what the extent of it is," he said.

The Muslim Emergency Management Plan, financed by the state and federal governments, was devised by the Islamic Council of Victoria with support from the Department of Premier and Cabinet's Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship.

Islamic Council general manager Nail Aykan said there was no doubt Muslims would suffer a backlash in the event of a terrorist attack.

"Hate crimes can originate from a multitude of matters but in the case of, God forbid, a terrorist attack, of course, you end up with repercussions," Mr Aykan said.

State Multicultural and Citizenship Minister Nick Kotsiras said the emergency plan arose from a deal struck by the former Bracks and Howard governments.

Stephens: The Great Global Warming Fizzle from the Wall Street Journal.

Actually it would be great if the ‘other one’ would suffer a similar fate. Maybe the facts will help its demise as with this ‘religion’?

In these days of 24/7 news, blogs, and the internet people are waking up and no longer relying on the 6 o’clock news.

They know they can’t trust the MSM any longer.

And they know they can't trust their own elected officials!

How do religions die? Generally they don't, which probably explains why there's so little literature on the subject. Zoroastrianism, for instance, lost many of its sacred texts when Alexander sacked Persepolis in 330 B.C., and most Zoroastrians converted to Islam over 1,000 years ago. Yet today old Zoroaster still counts as many as 210,000 followers, including 11,000 in the U.S. Christopher Hitchens might say you can't kill what wasn't there to begin with.

Still, Zeus and Apollo are no longer with us, and neither are Odin and Thor. Among the secular gods, Marx is mostly dead and Freud is totally so. Something did away with them, and it's worth asking what.

Consider the case of global warming, another system of doomsaying prophecy and faith in things unseen.

As with religion, it is presided over by a caste of spectacularly unattractive people pretending to an obscure form of knowledge that promises to make the seas retreat and the winds abate. As with religion, it comes with an elaborate list of virtues, vices and indulgences. As with religion, its claims are often non-falsifiable, hence the convenience of the term "climate change" when thermometers don't oblige the expected trend lines. As with religion, it is harsh toward skeptics, heretics and other "deniers." And as with religion, it is susceptible to the earthly temptations of money, power, politics, arrogance and deceit.

This week, the conclave of global warming's cardinals are meeting in Durban, South Africa, for their 17th conference in as many years. The idea is to come up with a successor to the Kyoto Protocol, which is set to expire next year, and to require rich countries to pony up $100 billion a year to help poor countries cope with the alleged effects of climate change. This is said to be essential because in 2017 global warming becomes "catastrophic and irreversible," according to a recent report by the International Energy Agency.

Yet a funny thing happened on the way to the climate apocalypse. Namely, the financial apocalypse.

The U.S., Russia, Japan, Canada and the EU have all but confirmed they won't be signing on to a new Kyoto. The Chinese and Indians won't make a move unless the West does. The notion that rich (or formerly rich) countries are going to ship $100 billion every year to the Micronesias of the world is risible, especially after they've spent it all on Greece.

Cap and trade is a dead letter in the U.S. Even Europe is having second thoughts about carbon-reduction targets that are decimating the continent's heavy industries and cost an estimated $67 billion a year. "Green" technologies have all proved expensive, environmentally hazardous and wildly unpopular duds.

All this has been enough to put the Durban political agenda on hold for the time being. But religions don't die, and often thrive, when put to the political sidelines. A religion, when not physically extinguished, only dies when it loses faith in itself.

That's where the Climategate emails come in. First released on the eve of the Copenhagen climate summit two years ago and recently updated by a fresh batch, the "hide the decline" emails were an endless source of fun and lurid fascination for those of us who had never been convinced by the global-warming thesis in the first place.

But the real reason they mattered is that they introduced a note of caution into an enterprise whose motivating appeal resided in its increasingly frantic forecasts of catastrophe. Papers were withdrawn; source material re-examined. The Himalayan glaciers, it turned out, weren't going to melt in 30 years. Nobody can say for sure how high the seas are likely to rise—if much at all. Greenland isn't turning green. Florida isn't going anywhere.

The reply global warming alarmists have made to these dislosures is that they did nothing to change the underlying science, and only improved it in particulars. So what to make of the U.N.'s latest supposedly authoritative report on extreme weather events, which is tinged with admissions of doubt and uncertainty? Oddly, the report has left climate activists stuttering with rage at what they call its "watered down" predictions. If nothing else, they understand that any belief system, particularly ones as young as global warming, cannot easily survive more than a few ounces of self-doubt.

Meanwhile, the world marches on. On Sunday, 2,232 days will have elapsed since a category 3 hurricane made landfall in the U.S., the longest period in more than a century that the U.S. has been spared a devastating storm. Great religions are wise enough to avoid marking down the exact date when the world comes to an end. Not so for the foolish religions. Expect Mayan cosmology to take a hit to its reputation when the world doesn't end on Dec. 21, 2012. Expect likewise when global warming turns out to be neither catastrophic nor irreversible come 2017.

And there is this: Religions are sustained in the long run by the consolations of their teachings and the charisma of their leaders. With global warming, we have a religion whose leaders are prone to spasms of anger and whose followers are beginning to twitch with boredom. Perhaps that's another way religions die.

On a day of relentless spring rain, Melbourne – or a select contingent thereof - welcomed Robert Spencer for his first talk in his first ever visit to Australia, courtesy of the Q Society of Australia. The 250-seat room was full to capacity, booked out well in advance of the day.

For a change I decided to put aside my old habit of taking notes. After all, the event was being filmed, and I would have access to the film. But afterwards, Robert asked me to write about the event for Jihad Watch, so what follows is a brief snatch of snippets.

Vickie Janson, Vice-President of the Q Society and candidate for the Christian Democratic Party, led off with a sobering disclaimer, mindful as we all are now of local laws restricting free speech, and – with a winning smile – invited anyone with ultra-sensitive feelings or a plot to use those laws against us to kindly leave. She then gave us a run-down on what is happening vis a vis the encroachment of Islamic laws and norms, that is, the steady road to control of us by them, here in Australia in schools, universities, workplaces and elsewhere. As keeping up with Islamic advancement and its enabling and funding by our government is now virtually a full-time job, much of what she informed us in her inimitably cheerful style shocked the audience.

Vickie quoted a Muslim cleric who said that there was no “clash of civilizations, but instead a rise and fall of civilizations.” It is clear that to many Muslims here and abroad their religion constitutes the “rising civilization” and ours the falling (not that they would prefer to stop at ours; Hindu and Buddhist civilizations are in their sights for being given a helping hand to disappear…)

Another member of Q called Warren then gave a talk about what he has seen in recent years in Europe, including the car-burning in France and a memorial (!) devoted to the young Muslim car thieves who were accidentally killed when they hid from pursuing police in an electricity compound and whose deaths were “avenged” by Muslim anti-police rioting. These were stories of immigration-related events our government smugly believes cannot happen in sunny Australia, where it is constantly proclaimed that multiculturalism is an outstanding success story and caution is brushed aside.

When Robert Spencer took the floor, it was clear from the enthusiastic atmosphere that few in the room were new to his views and that his message was seen as acutely urgent. He talked of the responsibility of Western people to learn and respond to the Islamic perspectives which are giving rise to Muslims’ so-frequently misinterpreted words and actions, and expanded on the theme that terrorism and da’wa (the call to Islam) are but two sides of the same coin and directed at the same result, the imposition of Shari’a law. Quoting from Maududi’s commentary in a Koran given to him by the Finsbury Park mosque and using Koran 9:5 as an example, Spencer demonstrated that what Muslim apologists claim to be a misleading absence of “context” proves to be from their own side a misleadingly invalid argument, “context” being at least as alarming as verse and backed up by respected Muslim commentary.

He spoke of many topics which will be familiar to JW readers: the Mafia-like dhimma pact, the absence of the “clash” factor as we in the West politely accede to Muslim demands, the campaign of erosion of our free speech which is central to the Islamic agenda, the existence of self-protective Western laws which are being ignored or under-utilized in the interests of political correctness, and the highly successful phenomenon of contrived Muslim victimhood which has the effect of causing us to rush to make further accommodation for them after every terrorist attack and every expression of grievance.

This last aspect was in reply to one of the many spirited questions asked of him in the latter half of the evening. Many questions reflected the helpless frustration people felt in the face of the plethora of tactics employed by Islamic organizations and individuals and shameful capitulation by our own political parties. Spencer advised not only being persistent in our efforts to inform governments and fellow citizens, but to emulate his colleague Pamela Geller’s creativity, for example her “copycat” bus and taxi advertisements which forced public enquiry into Islamic human rights abuses such as death for apostasy and honour killings.

When pressed as to the vexing question of whether President Obama is a Muslim, Spencer could only surmise that if he were, he would not be doing anything differently; the outcomes of Obama’s policies have been extraordinarily helpful to zealots in the Muslim world – both outside and inside America.

As for Iran, it is important that we understand the Iranian Shi’ite view about the Twelfth Imam and about how Muslim “victimhood” can exist in a most threatening and sinister form on a national level as a tactic of war.

And lastly, about “moderate’ or “secular” Muslims about whom so many nurture great hope, Spencer wasted little time. Of course there are many, many Muslims who pose no threat and are not determined to impose the supremacist aspect over us their religion demands they do, but he did caution, in view of fatally naïve exercises of US soldiers teaching Afghani soldiers, against playing with guns with Muslims.

We may not all be able to dazzle people with erudition and quickness of wit the way Spencer can, but at events such as this one we can develop arguments and tactics based on stated intentions of Muslims which are derived from their texts and their own tactics based on principles within those same texts. Robert Spencer and the Q Society on this night helped and encouraged us to work harder, and to devise means in the vital job of defending the uniquely free and prosperous civilization we have inherited through the blood, sweat and inspiration of others before us and which it is our sacred duty to deliver untarnished to our descendants. They will have their own battles, as we have had ours; let us at least spare them the vice-like grip of Islam.

Oh, and a good time was had by all before and after the talks. So many conversations with so many people; the freedom to speak one’s mind; not once being glared at or called a racist/bigot/Islamophobe…!

Monash University - Aiding and Abetting the Jihad Downunder



MONASH University prides itself on its "multicultural learning environment" and yet it produces a handbook for one certain class of students, and not for others.

How is it that this ‘institution of higher learning' has to bend over backwards to one “ethnic” group to this extent?

"International students would be better served with a handbook explaining Australian culture and values."

And I say Amen to that!

Salaam Monash is the title of the glossy 50-page "handbook for Muslim students".

"At Monash we understand that Muslim students have specific social, religious and cultural needs," writes Professor Stephanie Fahey, deputy vice-chancellor, in a foreword to the handbook.

The booklet lists Islamic banking and financial institutions, Muslim publications, women's groups and schools. It also lists Muslim medical and dental practitioners, which splits up doctors into male and female groups.

There is also a halal food guide and a list of halal grocers and butchers.

Much of the information seems useful and, having had a young Muslim house guest recently, I know just how tricky it can be to find halal food.

Why encourage one group of people to maintain an identity separate from other Australians?

Most unwise, however, is that the handbook lists without comment some of Australia's most radical prayer halls.

Among them is cleric Sheikh Mohammed Omran's Islamic Call Society in Brunswick, where young Muslim men have been radicalised. A number of men arrested in Operation Pendennis, over a foiled 2005 Melbourne terror plot, had frequented the mosque, according to a New York Police Department study, which identified it as an "extremist incubator".

Similarly, the handbook points students in the direction of Coburg's ISNA mosque, associated with preacher Abu Hamza, who was videotaped telling men they could "beat their wives to shape them up" but only as a last resort. In the lecture entitled "The Keys to a Successful Marriage", he said: "You smack them, you beat them. You are not allowed to bruise them."

The handbook has angered people on campus.

"Monash University should not be endorsing (an) ideology which prescribes that Muslims must not eat our food, wear our clothes, share our services or even use our 'infidel' money," said four insiders who wrote to me. "International students would be better served with a handbook explaining Australian culture and values."

Monash is not alone. La Trobe has its own Muslim student guide and last year opened a $927,000 prayer room.

In 2006 RMIT produced a Muslim handbook "In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful". Two years later 1000 Muslim students protested against sharing new prayer rooms with Christians and Jews.

Muslim students from overseas are a lucrative part of the fee-paying student body and keeping them happy is important.



But the message should be about mutual respect and hospitality -- not segregation and exclusion.

Tears of Jihad: Ever wondered how many people have died as a result of Jihad?

Thomas Sowell [Thomas Sowell, Race and Culture, BasicBooks, 1994, p. 188] estimates that 11 million slaves were shipped across the Atlantic and 14 million were sent to the Islamic nations of North Africa and the Middle East. For every slave captured many others died. Estimates of this collateral damage vary. The renowned missionary David Livingstone estimated that for every slave who reached a plantation, five others were killed in the initial raid or died of illness and privation on the forced march.[Woman’s Presbyterian Board of Missions, David Livingstone, p. 62, 1888] Those who were left behind were the very young, the weak, the sick and the old. These soon died since the main providers had been killed or enslaved. So, for 25 million slaves delivered to the market, we have an estimated death of about 120 million people. Islam ran the wholesale slave trade in Africa.

The number of Christians martyred by Islam is 9 million [David B. Barrett, Todd M. Johnson, World Christian Trends AD 30-AD 2200, William Carey Library, 2001, p. 230, table 4-10] . A rough estimate by Raphael Moore in History of Asia Minor is that another 50 million died in wars by jihad. So counting the million African Christians killed in the 20th century we have:

Koenard Elst in Negationism in India gives an estimate of 80 million Hindus killed in the total jihad against India. [Koenard Elst, Negationism in India, Voice of India, New Delhi, 2002, pg. 34.] The country of India today is only half the size of ancient India, due to jihad. The mountains near India are called the Hindu Kush, meaning the “funeral pyre of the Hindus.”

Buddhists do not keep up with the history of war. Keep in mind that in jihad only Christians and Jews were allowed to survive as dhimmis (servants to Islam); everyone else had to convert or die. Oddly enough there were not enough Jews killed in jihad to significantly affect the totals of the Great Annihilation. The jihad in Arabia was 100 percent effective, but the numbers were in the thousands, not millions. After that, the Jews submitted and became the dhimmis (servants and second class citizens) of Islam and did not have geographic political power.

This gives a rough estimate of 270 million killed by Jihad.

Too Little,Too Late: Goldstone: ‘Israel Apartheid’ Claims are Slander





After doing incredible damage to Israel's international reputation after Operation Cast Lead Richard Goldstone seems to be recanting.

Frankly I think this is too late, and no one is going to take any notice of him anyway.

The Goldstone report was commissioned by Turkey, if my memory serves me correctly, so his original findings have little credibility.

There is nothing much worse than a 'useful idiot', and there are plenty around these days.

Just look at #OWS.

I think Goldstone is not only a 'useful idiot', but a self-loathing Jew and in my opinion that makes him worse.

It is impossible to know how many lives have been lost, or put at risk, because of his pathetic UN collaborator. Now he tries to make up for the damage caused.

People who know what apartheid really means know Israel is NOT an apartheid state!

None other than retired South African Judge Richard Goldstone, author of the UN report damning Israel for alleged war crimes, condemns “apartheid" charges against the Jewish state.

"The apartheid charges are “an unfair and inaccurate slander against Israel, calculated to retard rather than advance peace negotiations,” Goldstone wrote in an opinion article in The New York Times Monday morning.

Concerning the term “apartheid wall,” referring to the security barrier that straddles Judea and Samaria from the Jordan Valley to north of Be’er Sheva, Goldstone stated that the accusation is made by “those seeking to promote the myth of Israeli apartheid [and who] often point to clashes between heavily armed Israeli soldiers and stone-throwing Palestinians in the West Bank…"

“The security barrier was built to stop unrelenting terrorist attacks,” he noted.

Goldstone pointed out that being from South Africa, he knows full well what the term “apartheid” means.

“In Israel, there is no apartheid,” he wrote. “Nothing there comes close to the definition of apartheid under the 1998 Rome Statute: ‘Inhumane acts ... committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime.’"

“Israeli Arabs — 20 percent of Israel’s population — vote, have political parties and representatives in the Knesset and occupy positions of acclaim, including on its Supreme Court. Arab patients lie alongside Jewish patients in Israeli hospitals, receiving identical treatment.”

He added that the separation of Arabs and Jews in communities in Israel is often self-imposed and is not a result of enforcement.

Goldstone was careful to write that he sees a different situation in Judea and Samaria, where he stated that the situation is more complex. “But here too there is no intent to maintain ‘an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group.’” headded. “This is a critical distinction, even if Israel acts oppressively toward Palestinians there.”

He explained that while “South Africa’s enforced racial separation was intended to permanently benefit the white minority, to the detriment of other races,… Israel has agreed in concept to the existence of a Palestinian state in Gaza and almost all of the WestBank.”

Goldstone wrote his opinion in light of the defunct “peace process” and said that the slanderous apartheid charges are an obstacle to an agreement between the Palestinian Authority and Israel.

“The need for reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians has never been greater,” he wrote. “So it is important to separate legitimate criticism of Israel from assaults that aim to isolate, demonize and delegitimize it."

Goldstone noted that a London-based organization is holding a "hearing” Saturday night to decide if Israel is guilty of apartheid.

“The ‘evidence’ is going to be one-sided and the members of the ‘jury’ are critics whose harsh views of Israel are well known,” Goldstone wrote.

Florida Appeals Court Rejects Call To Block Judge From Citing Islamic Law In Ruling

A Florida appeals court has rejected a request to block a Hillsborough judge from upholding Islamic law in a case involving the former trustees of a local Tampa mosque that has garnered the national spotlight.

The state's 2nd District Court of Appeal on Friday denied without comment a petition filed by the mosque, known as the Islamic Education Center of Tampa, which is challenging Hillsborough Circuit Judge Richard Nielsen’s ruling in March that he intended to cite “ecclesiastical Islamic law” in the case, the St. Petersburg Times reported.

The former trustees have been suing the mosque because they claim they were unfairly removed as trustees. Nielsen said in March that based on testimony, “under ecclesiastical law” and pursuant to the Koran, “Islamic brothers should attempt to resolve a dispute among themselves.”

The two parties reportedly agreed ahead of time to use an imam and Islamic Law to resolve any potential differences through arbitration. So Nielsen only referenced Islamic law in deciding whether the two parties could resolve their differences through arbitration. He ruled they could.

The arbitrator ruled in favor of the former trustees, an outcome that would give them control of $2.2 million in mosque funds if the decision is upheld, the newspaper reported.

But mosque officials say the arbitration never happened, and they dispute the meaning of the appeals court ruling. Mosque attorney Paul Thanasides told the newspaper that an appeals court decision without a written opinion means the court wasn’t addressing the merits of the case.

But Lee Segal, a lawyer representing the trustees, told the newspaper that the ruling was a “big time” win for his clients and vindication for Nielsen.

ALERT: Final Implementation Phase of Obama Formal Dictatorship has Begun

Today may mark the real beginning of the end of the United States of America. We-the-People are being forced into the deadliest phase of the Obama Plan, yet – that of his overwhelming implementation of his US Police State.

Obama and his syndicate have now declared the usurpation of the State of Tennessee and its melding into the Obama government to be official. After extensive testing to see how far employees of Obama’s perverse TSA (Transportation Security Administration) would go with their sexual groping of even small children, Obama has now seen that they will do virtually anything they are tasked to do and “The One” has judged them worthy of the questionable honor of checking for US citizens’ papers on US highways, buses, trains and wherever else the now official dictator-in-chief decides he wants to exhibit his power and control over the American people.

Tennessee – which is the scene of multiple unconstitutional test cases with its completely corrupt Monroe County – has been chosen as the State that will begin the official Obama Police State. The former USA has now become either East Germany or the Stalinist USSR – take your pick.

And, this move by the Obama syndicate has nothing – whatsoever – to do with terrorists (unless you’re finally waking up to the fact that the Obama syndicate members are the terrorists). It is, however, Obama pushing hard for the final forced submission of We-the-People into the US Slave State, which has now arrived with nary a whimper.

Note: I never realized how thoroughly submissive to totalitarianism we had become, until recently. I thought we still had a chance to survive. I actually thought we would fight. On one thing Obama is correct. We have become soft.

Now, in a secondary move to seize all power in the country for himself and his syndicate, Obama has decided that he will confiscate all television and Radio broadcasts for a supposed “test” of the EAS (Emergency Alert System). Communication for both US television and Radio will be cut off on 9 November 2011 for at least 3-4 minutes.

This is both unprecedented in our history and constitutes the final phase of Obama’s testing of his ability to seize communications in the USA at will.

In the past, real Presidents of the USA have asked for time from the various broadcast networks when there was an emergency and they needed to speak. No more. We are now firmly in the bowels of the Obama dictatorship and said tyrant is violating each and every principle and law contained with the US Constitution.

The Obama-supported and implemented “Occupy Wall Street’ flea circus has provided Obama with both an “if you don’t give us what we want, we’ll turn violent” crowd and an almost perfect cover for his implementation of the finalization of his Police State. Anyone still think Obama is naïve and incompetent? Not a chance.

As I’ve been writing since before he usurped the Office of POTUS, Obama has been hired to destroy the USA and once he’s in power we may not be able to get rid of him. He knows precisely what he’s doing.

Obama’s Gift to Iran: Stupid or deliberate?

At the strategic level, naivety can do more damage than outright malevolence. And President Obama came to the Oval Office with no knowledge of, and little interest in, foreign affairs and security. His core agenda was domestic, and, gushing self-confidence, he assumed that he could solve international problems in his spare time–challenges that had frustrated the best efforts of far-more-experienced men and women. A babe in a poisoned woodland thick with wolves and witches, he assumed that he could smile and persuade the wolves not to eat him and the witches to cast their spells in his support.

One grim result is his abandonment of Iraq to Iranian influence. The strategic consequences are potentially catastrophic. At best, he has made a mockery of 5,000 dead American troops and our tens of thousands of wounded. And the worst of it is that he didn’t even try to play this to our nation’s advantage.

He didn’t even show up on the field. He simply threw the game to Iran by his absence: Our troops did their duty—and won. And their commander-in-chief went Absent Without Leave.

Before detailing the current administration’s myopia and ineptitude regarding Iraq—and Iran’s skillfulness—it’s essential to be fair: Obama has grown in the job, learning, painfully, that foreign leaders are not all susceptible to his ward-politician charm and self-congratulatory rhetoric.

He still has a great deal to learn (including humility), but this borderline pacifist evolved to become the president who dramatically increased the use of drones to target terrorists; who green-lighted killing bin Laden and Awlaki; who didn’t close Gitmo—despite his campaign promise to do so; and who, after his customary dithering, ultimately backed the French and British in their determination to remove Qaddafi from power in Libya (despite diplomatic lies, the goal was always to get Qaddafi out).

He even has shown signs of realizing that the Pakistanis are not our friends, that the Palestinians are not all oppressed innocents, and that China does not have our best interests at heart.

But he’s always had a blind spot regarding Iraq. And Iraq’s the big one. Everything that he’s gotten right over the past year is small change compared to our looming confrontation with Iran. And Obama just handed Iran an enormous strategic advantage by fleeing from Baghdad.

Why does Iraq matter? Location, location, location, for a start. It’s the geographical keystone at the head of the Persian Gulf, still the most-crucial oil-producing region in the world. And it borders Iran: Consider how useful even small US bases in Iraq would be, were we forced to take military action to derail Iran’s nuclear ambitions—action that would amount to serious warfare, not just surgical strikes. And Baghdad has enormous emotional resonance in the Arab world. Iraq’s also the fault-line state where Shia and Sunni Muslims collide on one of the most-volatile frontiers of religious culture.

And there’s more: A pro-Iranian regime in Baghdad outflanks our key regional partners (not allies, but partners with shared interests). Instead of providing a buffer for Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, a Shia-dominated, pro-Iranian government in Iraq becomes a threat to them. An Iraq subject to Iranian influence also facilitates Tehran’s support of the Assad regime in Syria and, by extension, Hezbollah and Hamas—it’s a lot easier to drive arms and assassins across Iraq than to ship them all the way through the Suez Canal.

Even a small remaining US presence in Iraq (about 20,000 troops would have been right) also would have continued to provide the much-needed fig leaf for Kurds, Sunni Arabs and Shia Arabs not to go at each other again. With our troops leaving, there’s at least an outside chance that Iraq will tumble back into civil war—and this time it would draw in other regional powers. At the very least, terrorists of various stripes will be empowered.

Obama sees none of it. He remains a prisoner of his own anti-Bush rhetoric. Iraq was Bush’s war and, therefore, bad. But the left needed to “prove” it was strong on security, too, so Afghanistan, a worthless land of pederasts and dung heaps, became our strategic priority that Bush “neglected.”

The problem is that Iraq truly matters on multiple strategic counts, while investing in Afghanistan is about as smart as investing in cathode-ray-tube technology (or solar-panel manufacturers) in Silicon Valley. The sole reason to keep even a small US contingent in Afghanistan is to continue to kill terrorists across the border in Pakistan. Beyond that, everything we do there is wasted. But, thanks to Obama, we’re mired in Afghanistan and abandoning the strategic prize of Iraq to Iran.

And the mullahs and political leaders in Tehran have taken advantage of Obama’s blindness with breathtaking effectiveness. While pursuing nuclear weapons, backing Syria’s Assad with weapons, money and secret-police assassins, egging on Hezbollah and Hamas—and killing US troops in Afghanistan and Iraq–Iran has not had to pay a single meaningful price.

Our government huffs and puffs, then does nothing at all. The Obama administration (and, to be fair, the Bush administration before it) has allowed the Iranians to run wild.

Naturally, Tehran concludes that we’re weak-willed, exhausted and scared. Hence the recent plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the US right in Washington (not that I would have wept for His Excellency myself…).

The Iranians in 2011 have come to the same conclusion that al Qaeda did in 2001, in the wake of the cowardice of the Clinton administration: They’re convinced that, no matter what they do, we’ll simply cower and take it.

And they might be right.

I’ve long been fond of pointing out that, while we play diplomatic checkers, the Iranians play chess (the game was a Persian invention, after all). I have to admire the skill with which Tehran has manipulated both the Iraqi political scene and the Obama administration: The Iranians recognized that the issue of legal immunity from Iraqi law for US troops was the perfect lever to hoist us out of the country.

First, we could never agree to allow our Soldiers and Marines to be hauled up on bogus charges and tried in kangaroo courts in the immature (to put it kindly) Iraqi judicial system.

Second, the Iranians understood that this was an issue that would resonate with the Iraqi population, given our mindless employment of mercenary thugs from the former Blackwater and other “security” companies—some of whose employees appear to have used Iraqi civilians for target practice…then walked free. Iran’s agents made hay out of the bad behavior of the psychopaths who had been on the US payroll.

Working through their proxies in Baghdad—primarily, but not only, Moqtada al Sadr’s radical Shia block—the Iranians made it impossible for either side to back down. And “Poof!” The Americans, having deposed Saddam, paid in blood, and spent almost a trillion dollars on Iraqi freedom and reconstruction, are headed home, while Iran moves in. Tehran won without losing a single Iranian life. At most, the mullahs doled out a few minor bribes.

Obama simply quit—and was relieved to do so. He did it because he was blind to the looming consequences. He did it to please his restive base. And he did it because he had been too nearsighted, lazy and politically bigoted to develop personal relationships with Iraqi leaders who could have helped us through this “made in Iran” crisis.

But it isn’t Obama who will pay the price. It’s our troops, if the region blows up. It’s Iraqis. It’s our regional partners. It’s consumers, if the deteriorating situation in the Persian-Gulf region leads to catastrophically higher oil prices. Ultimately, it’s you.

Obama’s real political ancestor is, ironically, the diehard segregationist Woodrow Wilson. Both men have pacifist roots, and both put us on the path to a major war (stay tuned for our coming confrontation with Iran). Both fit the mold of the idealist ungrounded in reality. Both were consumed by ambitions that far outstripped their abilities.

The only faint good news in Obama’s early holiday gift to Iran of Iraq’s integrity and freedom is that any Iran-Iraq strategic collusion will only last from the short-term through the mid-term. In the long-term, conflicting interests and, above all, Persian condescension toward Arabs will alienate most Iraqis. But the danger zone is that short-to-mid-term stretch, with Tehran rushing to develop a nuclear-weapons capability and Iraq’s internal rivalries and grudges unresolved. The best we can expect is continued low-level violence in Iraq.

The worst ranges from a civil war that tears Iraq apart, to a violent, extended military confrontation with Iran that closes down Gulf oil production amid a widespread regional conflict.

Obama’s pigheaded determination to get our last troops out of Iraq and praise himself for doing so could be the worst American diplomatic blunder since Yalta. At the very least, it’s a wanton gift to our determined enemies.
